SOCAL RAGDOLLS

Privacy Policy.

Effective date: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SoCal Ragdolls (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, join our mailing list, or purchase or reserve a kitten through our WooCommerce checkout.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, billing address, contact-form message, kitten inquiry, order notes, marketing preference, and information related to a kitten purchase or reservation. When you check out, we also record order details, the selected kitten, purchase or reservation option, order status, and your acceptance of the checkout purchase agreement.

Our website and service providers may also automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, approximate location derived from network information, cookie or session identifiers, and interactions with the website.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide customer service.
  • To process kitten reservations, purchases, payments, and order communications.
  • To maintain records of checkout agreements and order history.
  • To send kitten-availability announcements, cattery news, and Ragdoll articles when you have affirmatively opted in. Marketing consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • To protect the website from fraud, spam, abuse, and security threats.
  • To understand website usage and improve the site, content, and customer experience.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution obligations.

WooCommerce, payments, and orders

Our store is powered by WooCommerce. Checkout information is used to create and manage your order. Payment information is processed by the payment gateway made available at checkout. Full payment-card details are generally handled by that payment provider rather than stored by this theme. The payment provider may process information under its own privacy policy and terms.

We may retain order and transaction information for as long as reasonably necessary for customer service, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and enforcement of our purchase terms.

Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on public website forms to help distinguish human visitors from automated or abusive traffic. Turnstile runs security checks in the visitor’s browser and processes signals about the browser and device that Cloudflare considers necessary to provide the security service. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not access, store, or transmit the contents of your form entries or other page inputs.

When Turnstile is used in invisible mode, the security check can run without a visible CAPTCHA. Use of Turnstile is subject to the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We do not add Turnstile to our checkout form.

Google Analytics and Search Console

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website. Google Analytics can process information such as page views, events, device and browser information, approximate geographic information, and referral data. Our Google Search Console integration provides us with search-performance information about how the site appears in Google Search. Google services process data under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for functions such as maintaining the WooCommerce shopping bag and checkout session, remembering preferences, protecting forms, measuring site usage, and supporting security. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Analytics or other optional technologies may be controlled by your browser settings and, where required, any consent controls presented on the site.

Marketing communications

We collect email-marketing permission only when you actively choose it on a form or during checkout. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using an unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect transactional messages relating to an inquiry, reservation, or purchase.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help operate the website or fulfill an order, including website hosting providers, Cloudflare, Google, WooCommerce-related services, payment processors, email providers, and other vendors needed to provide requested services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business reorganization or transfer.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not intentionally disclose personal information for unrelated third-party marketing without your authorization.

Data retention

Contact and marketing records are retained while reasonably useful for customer service, consent records, and legitimate business purposes, unless you request deletion and we have no legal reason to retain them. WooCommerce order data may be retained longer for accounting, tax, legal, warranty, fraud-prevention, and dispute purposes. Retention by third-party services is governed by their own settings and policies.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask us to provide, correct, or delete personal information we maintain about you, subject to legal exceptions and identity verification where appropriate. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time. Residents of California and other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable law, including rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and certain disclosures or uses of personal information.

WordPress also provides privacy export and erasure tools that can include contact and marketing records stored by this theme. WooCommerce order information is managed separately through WooCommerce’s privacy and retention tools.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults making inquiries or purchases and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this version was last updated.
